Sheila Fleet Blessing Ring
ER100
"Blessing on the Soul"

|
The Skyran collection was inspired by the first
known text discovered in Orkney. The Ogham writing which reads “a blessing on
the soul” was found on a whorl stone at Buckquoy, Birsay, approximately 500AD.
This ancient text of the Picts is very informal and its sketch like incisions
were usually scratched into a surface. Sheila’s contemporary interpretation
fused to produce an interesting blend of forms, texture, hidden words and
messages. The ring reads “a blessing on the soul”. Skyran means “to glitter or
shine brightly”. Available in Sterling silver with “twilight” blue enamel, 9ct.
yellow gold or 9ct. yellow gold with diamonds. Ring width approximately ¼” inch.
