The ancient Celts saw life as a continuous flowing entity, with no beginning or end. Much of their work is depicted by spirals or knots to represent everything as linked, a symbol of eternity. Inspiration for knotwork comes from the designs found in the 7th-9th century illuminated manuscripts such as the Book of Kells or the Lindisfarne Gospels. The knotwork band ring ‘s shape is a symbol of continuity as is the continuous interlacing in the Celtic knot found on this ring. The interlacing meets the stone setting with a Trinity knot on each side. Available in choice of diamond, ruby, emerald or sapphire. (Stone size is 4.1mm). When paired with the Ladies Celtic Knotwork band (R80) this makes a lovely wedding set for the ladies. Not available in Sterling silver (see SR80 for semi-precious stones in Sterling). The engagement ring is by special order only and may take 6 weeks to come from Scotland. Available only in sizes 4-10. Band is 4mm wide. Gift boxed. On special order rings, a 50% deposit is charged when the order is placed with the balance charged upon shipping.
