St Justin Brooch
PB55P
The ancient Celts saw life as a continuous flowing entity, with no beginning or end. Much of their work is depicted by spirals or knots to represent everything as linked, a symbol of eternity. Inspiration for knotwork comes from the designs found in the 7th-9th century illuminated manuscripts such as the Book of Kells or the Lindisfarne Gospels. Pewter brooch has Amethyst stone surrounded by spiraling knotwork deesigns. Brooch measures 2" in diameter. Gift boxed.
