The Runic Iris design was inspired by the stone age tomb, Maeshowe, built around 3,000 BC. In the 17^th century Vikings broke into the tomb and carved runes on the chamber walls. The rectangular cufflinks read, "Orkney". Designed by Sheila Fleet. Cufflinks are approximately 5/8 " in diameter. Tie tack is not available in this collection. Available in Sterling Silver with Skaill blue enamel, Sterling with oxidized background,  or 9ct. yellow gold.
