The Runic Iris design was inspired by the stone age tomb, Maeshowe, built around 3,000 BC. In the 17^th century Vikings broke into the tomb and carved runes on the chamber walls. The crescent shaped earrings read clockwise, "Orkney Isles". Designed by Sheila Fleet. Earrings measure approximately 3/4" wide and hang down approximately one inch on French wires. Available in Sterling Silver with Skaill blue enamel, Sterling with oxidized background,  or 9ct. yellow gold. Allow up to 3 weeks to come from the workshop in Orkney, Scotland.
