Thistle Penannular Brooch

Celtic penannular style thistle brooch from Briget of Edinburgh is a unique, one of a kind piece purchased from the artist in Edinburgh, Scotland on a buying trip. Crafted in Sterling Silver with an amethyst cabochon on the pin of the penannular, two Scottish thistles decorate each end of the brooch. This is designed for wearing on a loose weave as the pin element is thick and could hurt fine fabrics. The design incorporates the darker oxidized silver areas, giving the brooch dramatic depth.  Approximately 2.25” in diameter, with a 3” pin. A very unique piece, attractively gift boxed. Hallmarked in Edinburgh, Scotland.
